I realise this. There are reasons, too dull to go into... but I shall go into them anyway.
I started a new job. Upon starting I was not given a computer, but was assured one was on its way. In the mean time I dialled up to the network on my previously mentioned unambiguously cr*p machine. Over a month has passed. Newer joiners than me have computers. I have still not seen any sign of a computer heading my way. Well, they headed my way, but they just carried on past me. The upshot of which is that I have no internet access. I may not even have it when I have a computer as I need a password which I haven't got yet.

Summary. Grrrrrr.
